NoAl Chapter - Weiss tournament canceled......

The NoAl tournament scheduled on Weiss Lake for the 7th of May has been canceled due to the number of our members affected by last week's tornadoes. I look forward to seeing everyone again at our next tournament at Pickwick on May 21st.

May 7th is my birthday and I wish I could be there to fish with you guys. Unfortunately, we won't be back in 'Bama until late May. Maybe I can make the Wheeler T in June.

Everything is o.k. if you don't count electricity, land line phones or cell phones not working.


No house damage but lots of other problems. I have a very long driveway and it took two people working 8 hours with chain saws and a tractor to clear a path to the road.

I'm rethinking being able to fish Saturday. There is so much to be done and I don't think my wife will appreciate me leaving her with nothing working. On the bright side, my wife now appreciates the 4 batteries in my boat. With an inverter we have lights and a few other essentials.

However, I'm not complaining. Compared to others in my area I did just fine. Hope everyone else is o.k.

Guys, I think we need to reconsider fishing this weekend. I've checked with some of the guys and, unfortunately, quite a few of our "regulars" have been affected, either directly or indirectly, by last week's terrible turn of events and aren't able to make it. I think we need to scrub this week's outing at Weiss and concentrate on getting everyone to Pickwick on the 21st.
