have a 1999 x-56 with a 115 yamaha. currently has a ballistic prop{not sure what pitch) on it with no jack plate..looking to get a jp and prop to get the most out of it.. what do you xpress pros recommend for jp and props for an x-56?

I would most likely go with a 10"plate,and a Turbo1 21",or a K21 Yamaha prop set at 4 1/2" below pad with the 10" plate.If you go any higher your water pressure will drop off.

Listen to Spanky. He knows his stuff pretty good when it comes to Xpress. Sounds about right as I have a 135 Mariner with 2:1 gears turning a 25 pitch Turbo to 5800 rpm loaded with 2 & a very heavy load to 58 gps.

i have the same boat and motor with no jackplate loaded with me will touch 50. Most I've seen it hit was 53 with no load and a few years ago. Factory yamaha ss prop (not sure of pitch either)
