have a 1999 x-56 with a 115 yamaha. currently has a ballistic prop{not sure what pitch) on it with no jack plate..looking to get a jp and prop to get the most out of it.. what do you xpress pros recommend for jp and props for an x-56?

I would most likely go with a 10"plate,and a Turbo1 21",or a K21 Yamaha prop set at 4 1/2" below pad with the 10" plate.If you go any higher your water pressure will drop off.![]()

Listen to Spanky. He knows his stuff pretty good when it comes to Xpress. Sounds about right as I have a 135 Mariner with 2:1 gears turning a 25 pitch Turbo to 5800 rpm loaded with 2 & a very heavy load to 58 gps.

i have the same boat and motor with no jackplate loaded with me will touch 50. Most I've seen it hit was 53 with no load and a few years ago. Factory yamaha ss prop (not sure of pitch either)
