Stratos and Javelin question

How did these two become related? I don't know the entire history on this. Did Stratos buy Javelin?

Same parent company back in the day (OMC). Around the late 80's Jav was born as the basic no frills model and Strat was the loaded out models. Back in the mid to late 90's time span IMO Javelins were just as well equipped with options. Then from 99 to 2002 during the OMC to Genmar years they went back to entry level equipped rigs.
