    SKEETER/SHO TRANSOM SAVER

Got a new 2016 FX 20 LE and it came with the small transom saver. Old boat had a motor mate transom saver that worked very well for me. Interested to see what others are using.

    Thanks

I got same small transom saver with my 2015 ZX225 . Still using it . Not sure if I like it or not . Been considering Motor Mate . Dealer said one with boat is what Skeeter recommends .

My 2015 SHO came with this sad looking little fellow. It's about a year old and its looking a little worse for the wear already. Time for me to get a new transom saver too!

    I ordered a motor mate for my 2017 FX21LE with the 250SH0...

bolts wouldn't line up and it didn't fit properly..

was going to require far too much modification to make it work..

called them and they didn't know if it would fit?

was made for a 2012 250SHO is the response I received

    sent it back

You must of ordered the wrong model because I have a 2015 SHO on my ZX250 and it works perfect!

I verified it was correct when I called them...

I also had a tech from a local shop look at it and it wouldn't fit without drilling out the holes and modifying the bracket..

just saying.. maybe they boxed the wrong one.. but, they didn't have any answers when we called them.

    good luck!

That makes no sense...mine was perfect. Came with two special brackets to bolt on to engine mounted, no holes to drill...was simple and works great. They must of labeled it wrong is all I can think.

I used a motormate on my 2010 250 SHO. When I traded my boat, i took it off and used it on my 2016 225 SHO. Worked just fine.

Check out moto stop. work right out of box. No mod needed. Mine is 6 years old and still looks new. The last transom saver you will ever need.

Got to agree. No brackets to mount. Simple design. Skeet and Ish said so :)

I have had no problems with my pro rule that came with my 16 zx250. Yeh it takes 2 extra seconds to put the clips on over a motor mate but has been rock solid. No reason for me to change what's not broke.

All solid aluminum construction. Cost me maybe 40 bucks to make and takes stress away from all mounts and bushings because it's attached to the LU.

I like the way that looks! I don't like the "new style" things that everyone is using. I still use the old school transem saver that goes from trailer to LU. Have a buddy who has a FX20 like myself, when I'm behind him on the road his motor is bouncing all over the place with one of the "new" type that just wedges between rams of the engine. Literally looks like it's gonna break off! Have someone follow some of ya'll and see what I'm saying. Now, if ya'll roads are all smooth it might be ok, if you need a bumby road to test it then just come down here to La. Then you can see what it's really made of! LOL
