    Mercury 250 XB on 201pxl ??????

How does a 201 pxl run w/ a Mercury 250 efi XB motor on it???

I heard that these are fast/strong motors but you have to put high octane fuel in them and they like to drink the gas and oil???

Any input would help from guys who have any experience with this setup.

I've heard the same thing. Excessive fuel usage.

Not sure about the "normal" 250 EFI, but here is some interesting info.

Remember also that typically a HP motor will generally burn 10% of the HP of the motor at WOT. A 250 XB, being approx 270 HP would burn 27 gallons/hour at WOT. The regular 250 might burn 25 gallons/hour at WOT. The difference is that the XB will travel more distance in that hour since it is traveling faster. Just something else to thinks about. Nice problem to have though.
