what size gas tank came in this boat??? I have a 96 faststrike 150 on this boat and it seems like I am burning ALOT of gas for a short distance. I usually fill the tank up using the gauge and after about 10 miles roughly it has burnt through 1/2 tank I need advice???
Not alot of help with your model but my 201 has 22 gal tanks and if you go off my gauge alone on port tank I'm empty in about a twenty minute run but it will run the rest of the day on empty. If I was a betting man I would say your fuel tank sending unit is messing up like mine. But my boat has dual tanks I can run it on empty
Thanks That is what I hope it is I can't imagine that it actually burns that much but I would really hate to run out being that I only have a single tank.
I'm not sure about the Stratos but the 1998 Javelin 389's had 41 gallon tanks. Odds are fuel sending unit like CC said above.
My boat has 2 22 gal tanks & my gauges are off as well. I can run for quite awhile on empty. Same year motor, older boat.
i 2nd that but most of the OMC boats had fuel cells with fuel senders that just didnt give you an accurate reading after you have burned 2/3rds of usable fuel my needle bounces on empty for a while then once it completely stops bouncing i still have 16-17 gallons of fuel left . they do make better fuel senders now that you can calibrate
