    Fit and Finish Question

Is the Fit and Finish on the Stratos Boats coming from the Ranger plant any better or the same as it has been in the past? It has always been good, just curious if there are any improvements?

Re: Fit and Finish Question (phat ralph)

I'll be going out on a limb here, so someone catch me if I fall.

I feel like that they will be "dolled" up some from what we are used to. I have already been informed that the dash and interior areas will have considerably more bling than we had before. I am very excited to see how Ranger improves on the fit and finish aspect. We all know that their boats are top notch in this aspect. My Evo has a couple things I would like to see improved on, but I'll leave that for another thread. I just hope they leave the Evo hull alone and don't "improve" on it.

Re: Fit and Finish Question (bassinbrad)

    I've got a 2011 186XT. I would rate the fit and finish as a 9 out of 10.
There are a couple of spots that I can see where the carpet wasn't cut perfectly, but it was in spots where it didn't show, like under the console. They also drilled and then redrilled the holes for the tilt/trim switch panel on the bow, but it doesn't show as the facia plate covers it.
    The wiring looks reasonably neat.
The hull and gelcoat is perfect!
I had one front seat that nearly had a small hole worn through it during shipping; Stratos sent me a new seat!
    I'm very satisfied with it.

I've got a 2011 201XL Evo and I love it. I've had several Stratos boats and this one is as equal, if not better in quality. I think the guys and girls over there are doing an outstanding job.

Good to hear BassRocket. I noticed in the new catalog they're using a cheezy hooptie ass Ranger looking steering wheel on the new boats.

I don't know, I kind-a like it. I guess it could be a bit more aggresive in its styling, but all in all its ok. Turns left and right which is the main thing. LOL

I'd give my 186XT the same, 9 out of 10. Couple of minor things that bug me, but hey.
