The sonar looks like a toss-up to me. Side is better with Garmin BUT the details are lacking in the range where Lowrance has the same coverage. Down is no contest..... Lowrance by a mile. Throw in the mapping and I'd have to think twice at this point unless panoptix is in your future ........ even then though........Originally Posted by MonteSS

Your images do look good but I can't reproduce that on the 93sv I have. Maybe it's the species you are chasing? depth? average size of fish? ...... who knows. I do know the sonar on the 93 shows fish and objects the Di screen isn't showing. I know this because another unit running Di is marking the targets the 93 is showing on sonar.
It leaves me scratching my head for sure........
