1997 Javelin 400SDC...I thought this boat had a 40 or 50 Gal tank? Went to lake this weekend and ran it til the needle was hardly touching the "E" Filled it up to max and it only held 25 gal?

My Renegade 20 DC holds 48 gal. Are you sure you got it full, mine is very hard to fill up, it keeps spitting it back at me and I have heard of a lot more folks that say the same thing.
it puked out, but gauge says full...I think with only 25 gal in it , that it would be a lil over half, but it buried the needle past full

On my boat, when the needle reads E, it's not anywhere close to empty. I have ran mine til the engine starts to sputter, then switch tanks, which took several runs to get to that point. My boat has 2 22 gal tanks & after doing that I have put 20.5 gals in the tank.
They had 50 gallon fuel tanks in them per the brochures .....
I thought it was 50 as well....from the gauge, I must have about 20-25 gals when the needle touches "E"

doesnt your boat have two tanks ? My stratos has two tanks that each hold 24 gallons. Also how do you like your boat ? Im looking into buying a '96 400 SDC

Just has one tank...I have a 18ft Charger and like it, but I LOVE this Javelin!!! Rides smooth, stays dry in rough water, and handles the waves pretty darn good.
