I think the new secret color is "A-Rig"..........
ChampionMan if my memory serves me (and it may not) technically his alternator has twelve poles which corresponds to the "6" setting on the back of BRP tachometers.
Older carbureted small horsepower engines without a regulated charging system have a 10 pole alternator which corresponds to the "5" setting on the back of BRP tachometers.
As you know other tachometers have different number settings on the back of their tach's i.e. 1,2,3,4.
If this is the case try all settings, only one setting will give a correct reading.
