Take at look at C&O's website, they have both new and used Stratos and Blazers. Candomarine.com
2022 Basscat Jaquar
Mercury 300 Pro Xs
Bazz'n
Take a look at our web site http://www.candomarine.com , we have a good selection of quality used boats to offer you. Our inventory changes almost daily so keep looking. If you find one you like give us a call and we can talk more about it.
All 3 brands you mentioned are very good brands and any will make a great fishing rig for you. All three will hold there value good for resale later as well. If you can not find anything used you may also want to look at the new ones, with the 2008 model year coming to a close and the new 2009 models coming we have cut the prices on all 2008 models.
If we can help you in any way please don't hesitate to either e-mail or call.
Stratos 294 is the best buy on a new boat in that class. Handles rough waterl, capable of going over 70mph, has plenty of storage.
Bazzn, what's most are YOU looking for most in the boat?
I know of a few really good buys out there right now. If all out speed is your thing then you need to contact Todd Morgan at C&O yesterday to see if he still has any of the left over 202 Blazer/250 HPDI combo's left. I'm purty sure it'll have plenty of storage and it should run at least 70 MPH.![]()
He also carries Procraft, another brand that gets the job done at a reasonable cost.
Stratos is always on my list to consider. they have proven themself over time, and around TN hold their value purty good, especially the 201.![]()
The best value I know of in the area on a "premium brand boat" (lord I can feel the flames already)![]()
would be the left over Basscat PII/200 Opti at Riverside Marine, that is if you don't have a trade. I found them good to work with on straight sales. That could have been the time of year etc...? Just calling it like I saw it.
I searched around for a really good buy in this area on a new Toon, I could not find one last Spring. The economy is down, you may find it better now?
Take your time, look around, there are some really good buys out there right now in the 19 and 20 foot class with closeouts and team boats rolling over for the 2009's
BTW ALL my engine work goes to C&O, bottom line, "it's tougher than a two dollar steak to beat their service" Just ask candojoe about that one.![]()
Bullet
Thanks for the info
i am going to head to nashville friday & saturday to check some of the dealers out an see what boats they have.
does any of the boats you listed have anything that the other boat companies dont have that you think is a plus to the others ?
As far as a bullet i dont think i am interested in those since i drove them , an yes they will fly but i am more after a good handling than speed.
I will see what i come up with this weekend an let yall know . thanks
Bazzm, IMO you are doing the right thing by going and looking at all you are considering for yourself! We all feel like our ride was the best choice for us at the time we bought it. EVERY hull & brand has pluses and minuses, the tough decision is which one fits YOU best.![]()
You might also check at Clarksville Tennessee with old Corey at Mid South Boat Sales (931-648-6354), he has a couple of real nice used 200 Pro XL and he has a mechanic i will put up against any one in the four state area, not a bad fisherman either.
Then if you want to come on farther north i have a real nice 19XL, oh i have talked to you about that one though![]()
Thanks , i will be looking around over the next lil while for a boat. If i can just find a dealer that will listen to what i want an not as to what he thinks i need ! Thanks
Ride of a boat and handling is most important (safety reasons) if its your first. I bought a 90, 201pro. Biggest part was for my big fat arse walking around and it did not rock back and forth. I have been very satisfied.![]()
It\'s a dog eat dog world out there and I\'m wearing milk bone underwear! \"Norm Peterson\" Cheers.
Yes i went to see Todd at C&O an we talked about what i am looking for, an i need to see which boat i can get in my garage (294 or maybe 201). I would love to test drive one of these boats , but that time will come here soon. I am not getting in a hurry since i have a boat that lets me be on the water, i just want a bigger boat.
Double and tripple check you measurements on boat and garage. I added a swingaway tounge and took a notch out of my wall, readjusted the trailer bow stop and parked at a angle to get my 201 in. If that did not work I was going to use a shoe horn and vasaline to get it in. Take a tape measure and another hand to help measure.
