The E-Tec warranty is 7 years in the USA.

If you live in Australia you only get 3 years ... you also get to spend heaps more dollars for the same motor

How much does a greencard cost?

    Re: 7 year warranty (Whitto)

Standard warranty on the E-Tec is 3 years.

Each year (for the past several) BRP has offered a deal during Boat Show season where you can take advantage of one of two choices. The choices being either 1) $4 per horsepower rebate ($1000 on a 250, $900 on a 225, etc.), or 2) a free 4 year extended service contract to bring your total coverage to 7 years. This does have a deductible you have to pay once you reach the extended 4 years of coverage--$50 per visit I believe.

I too took advantage of this offer. Even though my boat is a Pro-Staff boat and I will not keep it that long, it is an added feature that helps put a buyer at ease when buying a used boat.

    Hope this answered your question.

Yep it is a US deal and expired 4/15/05, you could have also gotten a rebate I think it was $5 or $7/ hp. CM

since you've missed the factory promo deal, after market deals are available. i got an extra 3 years (6 total) on my 04 225ho for less than $1600. it is a "bumper-to-bumper" coverage that i hope i never have to use.
