Renegade 20 setup

Hey guys, A buddy of mine just picked up a Jav 20 renegade with a 200 johnson, the previous owner never changed anything fron day one,so she needs a few tweaks. I've moved the six inch plate up and down and finally settled on about 3" below the pad,with the original 24 raker,holeshots good til she breaks over on to plane then it just cavitates pretty bad for about 100 yds. Right now if I really feather the thottle I can get it to pop up on the pad and run up to 68-69 gps @5800 (I think it's got 70+ in it)but the prop does'nt have enough bite to hold it up there with out the nose dropping. We tried a 25 renegade and it was worse everywhere oddly enough So my question is,are we running the wrong prop on this rig or should we just send the raker out to Mark and add some cup/lift. Thanks.

Add some cup to the raker and get mark to drill the holes out so you can plug them up and go from there. Mine blows out and gets up to 4100 rpms then its fine from there on.

Did he get the jackplate on OK? I drank all the beer already...
68-69 is real good... RPMs good too...
My javelin did the same deal too...
I'd send the raker out for a detail job as suggested...
Also try a TXP if you can find one small enough...
If he needs any help give me a yell...
he can use my little drag strip up here...
though, my garage is outa props and jackplates...
for comparison... 4 reel with the 200 yamaha and skeeter has the 4 blade 26" whatever(trophy?) on it... 17 year old motor runs 70 all day long...

Put a gade on it. That is what I do not like about rakers. My boat won't hook one up either. A gade is fine. So far a TR04 is the fastest.
