Just top it off for what you will use for a day. Mine has never been and and will never be right no matter what I have done.

mine WAS working and just the other day quit. i don't know how to check just the gauge. or for that fact, the tank float either. i know you cant get to the top of the tank without major surgery.

everyone knows stratos fuel gauges are garbage(well, never accurate). I wouldn't bother fixing it. get a fuel flow meter instead.

is the gauge stuck on E or F. if it's on E take the sending unit wire off the tank put power to it ,if it moves to full your gauge should be ok and it's the sending unit. hope its the gauge its a easy fix, everything is marked on the back of the gauge. cost for the gauge is about 30.00, hope it works out for you.

Got a 20SS in the shop right now for same problem. Looks like a crushed wire under the cap has finally given up. Yep, Tech did 'major surgery' on this boat. I sure hope the owner doesn't stop by for a look. He'll have a 'cuss fit' seein his boat tore apart like it is. Tech is gonna stay late tonight to get this one fixed and out'a here tomorrow.
