and yours I belive is around 1700lbs or so dry weight?

I guess not. I like the Javelin so far but still trying to work the kinks out of it. I wasn't looking for another boat and this one sorta fell in my lap. I would love to find someone with this same rig to compare numbers with. I really don't know what to expect from it. It seems every time I mess with it I get another surprise. How do you like yours? What kind of set-up ya running on it?
Well I love mine for what it is. I stole it and its in near mint shape. Previous 2 owners were military and got moved around so it got very little use.
I am running a 225 Vindacator 3.75 below pad with a 24 4 blade raker. 58mph with 2 guys full tournament load with moderate fuel at 5500ABSL altitude.
Its still getting dialed in i still need to reprop for higher RPMS as well as adjust the motor height a bit more. I am throwing a rather large tail right now.
Its a great boat and for what I paid I cant complain. This one will be with me for a fe wmore years till we move again. I have a max of about 18 more months here in CO
After my last post I remembered that you posted in another topic I started. I went back and read it again and looked at your numbers.
I got a call in to a feller that has done alot of prop work for me over the years. If he's not retired and out of it now he may have a few props over in his shop I can try out. I raised my engine to 3 1/2" below the pad yesterday. Waiting now for a pretty day to go back to the lake and see how it responds. Sure would love to take a few extra wheels to try!

Bass what are you running for numbers props etc?
Do you know what the differences were between the 400s and 409s and what are the deleniations and changes from b to te to tdc ?

The b was a base edition striped The te was for tournament edition and the tdc was a dual console Thanks
also the 400 was a little lighter and the beam was a little wider than the 409
not sure what made the weight different but its not by much. I think its about 60 pounds or so. Thanks
..Col...I run 8" of setback 25p renegade 3 1/2" below the pad..What really helped lift the bow was the trim extenders, maybe 1/2" more positive trim made a big difference.I turn 6000 rpm @ 74 mph...I also run a 26p Raker in the winter to 5800 rpm 77mph, hole shot is not as good and is a hand full to drive at wfo. The 4 blade is a better all around prop for me and a one hand driver.
...Haulin....My 400b has the Blinker style trim station on the steering wheel, stereo, pro-air and live well pump out. I got it used in 1999 so I don't know if all that was an option on the 400b...I had heard that Javelin made that year and model equal to the Stratos to boost sales of the less expensive Jav's...That was a 75 mph rig right out of the box and quick for its time
Well looks like I need to try some more props and maybe some trim extenders. I am getting a top of 58 here on a moderate load but lighter on fuel.
For the altitude its prob not to bad but I want MOREEEEEE
With the amount of traveling I do I am not going to do so. We travel to all different altitudes and I would rather sacrifice speed then having to rejet every other tournament and risk a lean out condition.
I wont be here much more than another year so I will just stick with the sea level jets for now.
