sounds liketoo big of a prop , and too low in the water. is your plate hydraulic and what size is it?
with the 2 "spacers..I have 8"of set back
you may have posted earlier, but give us the rundown , year and size motor, measurement off the pad, etc.
your rpm are way too low, but that could be th prop coupled with it being too low in the water....
2006 201 pro with 22ho e-tec..3 1/4 tp 3/1/2 below pad
Jeff, remember what we talked about.....the further you move back, the further you must go up...raise that beotch up!
thanks Ab...I got your stuff together ...I will send you this week...I also have some stuff for jason
Ab,I had to idle out of a long creek friday, and my hot light came on ..is this okay????it was about a mile long
Might need the latest flash on the EMM. As long as it went away I wouldn't worry about it too much. If it happens again you need to contact your dealer and have them run your serial number to see if the latest flash applies to your motor.![]()
Hey Jeff. Like AB said, if you go back farther, you'll have to raise it again. Go another 1/4 inch and see what it does. You may have to go another 1/4 after that. The 27 TXP should be ok until the middle of summer, then you may have a little trouble with a full load and full livewells.
I wish you could drag it down here and let me get my hands on for a day or so.![]()

raised the motor 1/4".. boat driving crazy..water pressure 15 ...5200rpm is all I can get out of it..then it goes to hell....Jason how fAR AWAY ARE YOU..where do I go from here..up or down....HELP AB and Jay..motor is 3 to 3 1/4 below pad
What do you mean by driving crazy? How is your load distributed? You aren't carrying an anchor or something stupidly heavy up front are you?
no light up front..maybe 50lbs total..it feels like it is raising in the ass..going side to side
So is it rocking side to side like trying to stand on a 2x4 sitting across a bowling ball, or is it feel like it is sliding side to side like you are on ice?
You are overtrimming her. That is chinewalk, the only way it will be that severe on a 201 is if you are trying to run too much trim. How much trim were you giving her?

I live about 1 mile from the TN state line off of US HWY 43.
As AB said, you could be overtrimming the motor. But my question would be just how sure are you about that measurement again? I think you learned last time that 1/4" could make all the difference in the world in the way that thing drives. I'd go out and take my time measuring it again and see just where you're at. Make sure everything is level. If your motor is tilted a little too much, you will get a bad measurement. If you went up a 1/4" and your measurements were actually off 1/4", you may be way out of whack.![]()
If you're only getting 5200 and 15 lbs of water pressure, something got moved wrong somewhere, sometime. Who put the spacers on? Is everything tightened down good? Is everything lined up straight?

it feels like I can trim the boat out of the water...I did trim it back down but could not get the RPM'S???If I measured right this morning I am around 2.75 below pad..still turning the TXP 27...Jason I may drive down man

Come on down.![]()
Before you go to that much trouble though, come up 1/4" one more time. Watch the water pressure. If you're really at 15 at wide open throttle, you're fine, just don't let it drop below 12 at wide open. I ran my Blazer at a little less than 1" below the pad, but I had 15" of setback. You won't be able to go that high, but you should be ok at 2 1/4" to 2 1/2" below.
