I am going be replacing my carpet on the side of my fenders. From the factory the had plastic has a sharp edge to it and I am thinking about grinding it down and rounding the edge. It tends to cut into the carpet if you get the boat up on it.
1) has anybody done this?
2) How would you go about it?
3) Should I order the carpet from EZ loader or Skeeter?
How old is your boat? There was a design flaw leaving the sharp edge my dealer is replacing mine under warranty. I know a couple of other guys have had it done as well. New ones have a radius on the corner. FYI

2009 21 Iclass. Thats good. so you just went through your dealer? Are the sending it to you capreted already or bare?
Nope dealer is installing as soon as I can get it down there I sent him pictures after I heard he had others replaced for doing the same thing.

I bought the carpet to do mine here in the next week or so. I am gonna do it one day when I launch and the boat is off the trailer.
Mine has done this too. Mine is a 08 20i. I'm not the original owner. Is it still covered?

The warranty on the trailer would have been up in 2010. Original owner or not.
