Every time i go to pump water in my wells, my pumps will not pump water. I have to put my motor in reverse to prime them up and they work the rest of the day. Anyone have a solution?

Mine will do that in my FX at times. It is a pain to have to put it in reverse but I don't think there is any other solution. I guess it is a design flaw but I am not sure.
fill hoses are to long cut off excess hose " usually about 6- 10 inches" see it all the time
