    Livewell pumps and electrical Questions

My 1999 G3 ProG 185 which was made by Skeeter came with two 3 position flow-rite valves and 2 Rule 360 gph pumps. I had one of the valves go bad, and decided that since both valves are 10 years old to go ahead and replace both while I am down there gutting everything. My question is, the Rule 360 GPH pumps that the boat came with are rated for a 2.5 amp fuse, the 800 gpm pumps that I am installing call for a 5 amp fuse. Should I just swap the 2.5 amp fuse with a 5 amp, or just leave the 2.5 in there and not worry about it?

Change it to a 5 amp. Because you you will be changing it to the 5 at the most inopertune time if you leave the 2.5a fuse in there..
