rod locker

Just picked up an older sx 200 and not sure if I like the layout of the rod locker. looks/ feels like trying to jam the rods in you can ruin some guides. Any thoughts? I can leave it, maybe make the holes bigger or tear it out. I noticed with longer spinning rods the reels dont laydown well also

I took the tubes out of my rod locker, I did keep the but holder in there to help keep the reels off each other.


I got tired of the bent eyes as well. Plus, now i can get another 6-8 rods in their compared to before.


You can use the rod socks to help with the tangles, but I found if you just twist your line around your rod eyes a few times, it keeps them tangle free for the most part.

Alot of guys take out the holders so they can fit more rods. It can be a pain in the butt putting them in the tubes and pulling them out, especially in the dark.
