Very impressed with my 761. Top quality for the money. I went out with Justin and Gator Queen Liz last summer in their Hanko aluminum boat and that's the best quality I've seen. I'd rank my 761 between Hanko and Ranger.

Good Afternoon Fellas......I've been gone awhile....happily enjoying my 961! Mine went together better than I even hoped it would. I've been running mine for 18 months now (or so)...it is the first boat (of many) I have ever owned that I can already say will NEVER leave. I like it better than any boat I have ever had. I have added a lot of stuff to mine and done lots of experimenting. I would be more than happy to answer any questions for anybody!

I'm really liking the tomahawk, but I'm not sure if I could squeeze it in my garage. Anybody have the width including the trailer. I know the beam is 89". Some trailers aren't much wider than the beam, but all I got to work with is 92-93"

Mine doesn't stick out ANY. Beam outruns the trailer

Also want to know what shaft length trolling motor I will need looking at the mk terrova 24v/80 or the fortrex 24v/80 not sure if I want the ipilot.

I am loving my 961! I highly recommend the Minn Kota with iPilot. I have the 24/80 Riptide Ulterra with 60" shaft and simply love it. If I was fishing fresh water I might recommend the 56" shaft, but with good size waves in saltwater, the 60" is perfect. The trolling motor head is at water level in this pic, so you can see how deep the 60" can go on the 961.

I have the Merc 115 on it with two 12' Talons. Two batteries in the front and one in rear.

Nice video, RVSGuy. Why did you mount the 2 batteries up front to balance the Talons or what? I intend to put to 12' Talons on mine also.

I have a Blackhawk 2170 on order, should be here the end of May or early June. The wait is killing me.

I know all about the wait! It is a killer for sure. I got the high bow option, which I don't regret. It came from the dealer with the batteries up front so I really didn't choose. I am glad though, I have so much weight in the rear, I think it does help balance things out.

The boat is pretty weight sensitive. When I installed the trolling motor up front, it made a difference. When I put water in the rear live well, I can tell its there. I did put a fin on the outboard also thinking it might help get the nose up a little better at high speeds, because it ran a little flat for my liking on open water.

Fortunately things seem to be well balanced now and it runs and handles great! With the Merc 115 my top speed, with gear and two people is 45mph GPS speed. I wish it was a little faster, but don't need more speed, just a man thing.

Its not a perfect boat, don't know if they exist, but I love the boat and you will too.

Mine is a low deck, but I might have to look at batteries up front, as it will have a 150 with a hyd jp, and the large rear livewell. Thanks for the input.

If my boat is completely empty with no trolling motor or batteries or water in the live well and only me in it, I can get 60 mph. I do not have a Jack plate on it but have been considering a hydraulic one. If I run under a load with me and 2 other people I can get around 53 or so.

    Thanks, I have a 2170 with a Suzuki 150 and a 6" hyd jp coming. I'm hoping for mid 50's.

Hope you like yours. Please be sure to let me know how you like your hydraulic Jack plate. I'm still "up in the air" about whether to add one.

I am about to pull the trigger on a 961 Blackhawk. The dealer says the boat comes with a Yamaha F115. I know that's a tried and true motor just wondering if the Yamaha 115 SHO would be any better. Also for anyone that has a 961 Blackhawk I need a measurement of the total length of the boat on the trailer. Thanks
