25" T-1 and the 25" TXP, both B&B by Mark have been the 2 best props that I have run on my ZX200. And most folks on this board with that rig will tell you the same thing. There have been a couple of guys that have tried 26" TXP's, but I don't know what kind of numbers they are getting. The 2 25" props should get you in the 68-71 mph range with a tournament load. The TXP likes to be run a little higher than the T1, but you'll just have to play with setup.![]()
Do you have the 2.6liter (gray colored engine), or the 3.3liter v-max (dark blue engine)?
A friend of mine has the 2.6 liter on his 2006 ZX200, and just FYI....You will have to remove the torque tab that's on the bottom of the cavitation plate, in order to run the T1, or TXP prop on a 2.6liter. The Yam-25T1, and Turbo TXP are a larger diameter than a 25M. It's no big deal to remove it...Just wanted to make sure you know.
I have the same boat, but its a 2005 model. I have tried all kinds of props. The best performers have been a 25P Tempest Plus running 5950 RPMs @ 70 MPH, 1.75" below pad with all the PVS plugs in. My favorite prop is the Turbo Lightning, 26P running 5750 RPMs @ 71.5 MPH, 0.5" below pad. Both are straight out of the box, no balance or blueprint but I do plan to have both worked over eventually.

If the 3.3 HDPI like me...I have the 25 T1 Yammy on 2 below pad at 5,950 or so with a 26 TXP as spare... she ran 71gps last fall in kool water with half tank and solo...enough 4 me...68gps all day with heavier load 2 weeks ago.

My 3.3HPDI on a ZX225 was getting 70 this weekend but the most i've seen so far was 70.9 this year. I recently raised the motor 1/2" and the handling was a lot better without losing anything top end... i was mostly running 68-69. I have a 27P T1 and the split on the jackplate is 2" about 2 1/2 below bad i think. Currently running at 5770rpm or so.
I'm thinking of getting a 26 TXP as i'd give my T1-27 a 6/10 for condition... a few knicks and dings here and there from the previous owner.
What's the big difference between a T1-25 and TXP-26... and don't anyone say 1![]()
Current: 2006 ~ 20i ~ 250 HPDI ~ T1-25p
Previous: 2005 ~ ZX 225 ~ 250 HPDI Phase III - TXP 26p
I read a lot of good things about the TXP so I have a "near new" 26 as my spare...still in the box.
