    OK fixed the problem of hard starting on my 1993 200HP Venom now a new quirk pop

    OK the 93 Venom is starting normal. Finished of the tank of premix now running on just the VRO pumping in the oil. Once the tank was clean and new gas was in it for 1/2 tank I changed plugs and no more problems.

    Having a new intermitent problem though. It is hot now in the North east and on days over about 85 there are times when I want to make a move from my current spot and I start the motor and go to take off and once she might stall out right after I get it in gear. Other times she takes off just fine. Even one time it was like she didn't respond to the throttle movement then 1 second later she took off.

    Once she is running and up over 1100 RMPs she is fine but when she shifts into gear the RPMs are at 800 as I push the throttle forward it might stall might not. I knwo if it gets to 1100 then everything is fine.

    Any ideas?

    Is it a STLEF model? The F suffix is a key in the 93 model year.

    Yup I think you gave me starting advice and now with it on unmixed gas and new plugs it starts like you said.

    F is the first year for the adjustable low speed idle screws on the closed deck motors.

    Those are the 6 screws I see on the motors Carb They are marked 1 - 6 ?

    Yep you can access them via the front of the airbox without removing them.

    ok do I go clockwise or counterclockwise? how far? do i adgust one at a time while running? I'm assuming I need more rpm at idle? Any advice?

    On the trailer in the H20, in gear 1/4 turn CCW on each. Toss into neutral and then a quick touch of throttle then check idle in gear shouldn't be any "farting" If it persist after 1/2 out check the recirc valves.
