    Picking her up on Friday

I'm finally heading up to North Carolina on Thursday to pick up my new 719/SHO. The 11 hours drive won't be anything compared to the last 3 1/2 months waiting for the build. The shiny aluminum trailer takes some away from the boat but I had to go with it due to the salt conditions here in Florida.

Will get more pics posted when I get up there.

Re: Picking her up on Friday (Cowoty)

Thanks to all. As all Bird owners can attest, the wait is well worth it. I have less than 48 hours and I'll be on the road. I keep looking at the pictures and the trailer does grow on you. When I first saw I thought it was pretty "loud" against the dark hull colors. It is definitely practical for my location. I had a trailer almost rust out from under me on my last boat. Can't wait to see it with the Talons mounted on it Josh.

Re: Picking her up on Friday (bigfish)

Color combo looks great, can't wait for better ones so I can really see the color combo.....but so far
Trailer looks a lot better than I thought they would. Contemplated an aluminum trailer for my rig, but just could not see any reason for it in KY other than being different

Looks like Florida better get a Phoenix dealer, but then again Josh is reaping the benefits right now

Re: Picking her up on Friday (revinkevin)

We're going to break her in here on Lake Norman, get those HDS units dialed in, and test out the 2 Talon "daggers" on that bad boy this weekend.

Drive safe Craig, it's almost time to push that bird out of the nest and watch it fly!

Fishing all day Saturday, eating something on the grill Saturday night, having a cold one, and talking about the bird and the first trip to Falcon Lake in her!

Great looking Bird! On the contrary, I think the aluminum trailer adds tremendously to the package!

Re: Picking her up on Friday (BroncoHorvath)

Thanks to all again for the congrats. I lost about 4 of my 6 hours of sleep last night...THANKS JOSH!!!! If I'm not asleep by 1030 tonight, I'm dropping an ambien. I'd hate to get caught up on my sleep during my 11 hour drive.

And yes Chuck, I can't wait until December for that trip to Falcon. I anticipate my first double digit bass will come as a result of my new ride.

Re: Picking her up on Friday (flippinout)

Nice colors, Craig. So far, the Talons have worked out fine. Had to miss the last tourney on Rend lake, which is a prime lake for the Talons. Was windy that day and I had intended to stick myself outside of a brush pile and hammer it.

By the way; if you have the quick disconnects, I would recommend you take a grinder to the corners of the slide posts. Makes it easy to align them for assembly. pic shows them after I ground down the corners. I was able to put one one by myself in less than a minute.

    Enjoy the bird,

    Ernie
