    Reinstalling lower unit

Are there any tricks to reinstalling a lower unit. I will be getting my LU back soon with a new nosecone but I always have trouble getting it back on (when replacing water pump impeller etc.)?? 1997 Johnson Venom 225.

    Thanks, Bob

2 people always is nice you may have to spin the flywheel a little to get the splines lined up pull the belly pan and have a bolt ready to pop in when it pops in. CM

You should have to turn the flywheel ( I ususally just have someone bump the ignition a few times, but not sure if that is recommended). I have also heard the shift lever should be in forward gear in order to get the linkage correct. Someone will be here in short time to tell you for sure...
