Ledgend 211 vs 199 Opinions and Questions?

I would either purchase a 211 or a 199 and just wanted to here some of the differene.

The passenger Rod Storage on the 211, does it accomidate your partners rods to your satisfation? Is it hard to vaccume or keep clean inside, as it appears very narrow?

Other than 1ft 1in difference in the size of the two boats and the 25 HP differnence on the majority of rigs, how do theses two boats compare in performance? (Ride, Speed, Handling, Rough Water, Etc.)

Are you satisfied with the performance of the coolers, and could someone tell me the size of the cooler on the back deck? (Length, Width, & Depth)

These are just a few questions I have so far, and thank you for your help!

The difference in them is the co side rod ramp, 25hp and the 1' difference is off the front deck..

I own a 199 and it is good do not think I would change any thing but I would put a 36 volt trolling motor on the next one.

I have been in both. The 199 rides just as good as the 211. You have more storage in 211 but if you fish a lot of docks the 199 is the ticket. Speed is about the same. I would say have someone take you out in both and decide. When I purchase another one I will be torn with a decision as well. They are both great boats.

    Thanks for the information!

Does anyone have any comments on the passenger rod storage on the 211's as far as trying to keep clean with a vaccume as it appears very narrow from what few photos I have seen? Also do you have any positive or negative thoughts as to the passenger rod box?

I would also like to know if there is a difference in size in the rear deck cooler between the 199 & 211? Also I would like to be able to get the exact size (length, width, & height) as I am looking for something that will accomidate some ice vests I must wear in the summer months for health reasons. I usually put a Large Cooler in the midddle of the floor and it is a Pain In the @$$!

Thank you again for all of the replys!

I am currently in the process of selling my 211 to get a 199:) I demo'd the 199 for 9 hrs straight on approx 3.5-4.5 rollers at the Legends of Lake Fork tourney this year and absolutely love the bow response of this boat!!! So quick! IMO It handles the big stuff every bit as good if not better than the 211. Cant' go wrong either way though!!!

I am not a 100% sure, but I believe the 211 and 199 are exactly the same in the rear deck dimensions.

The first compartment on the front deck of the 211 can be carpeted for storage or used as a cooler. It is a very large compartment, I would think it could be used for your ice vests.

I thought really hard about the 199 or the 211. I think they are both great and you can't go wrong with either. I choose the 211 just for the extra space up front. I believe there is only a $3300 difference in price between the two boats also.

I don't know how easy to clean the rod compartment is. I haven't gotten my boat yet, but I thought the rod storage compartment was really cool and a great feature to have in a bassboat.

I am almost positive if you order one you can have multiple coolers and even have one of the rear storage compartments made for a cooler.

My 211 has three coolers: front, under center seat and behind passenger seat. It is really helpful when you have to carry extra ice on hot Falcon days.
