Hi all -
After I have imported files, created map from these files and then updated my Zero Lines Card is it possible to display my maps/data in the red to blue Autochart colors again and manipulate the map in 3D?

No. It only lets you look at a the smaller area in 3D.
The other part of your question, I think it is possible to do though. I think you can change the color scheme of the background map from the light blue/dark blue lakemaster, to a different color scheme. Somewhere in the settings, but I can't remember off the top of my head where at the moment.
I have a UPS package coming shortly - I think I am going to enjoy reading a bunch more of your posts Camo.
I have 2 waters I would like better than 5' DNR contour maps...lol

Camo needs some backup ..... let us know how it goes......Do you already have the recordings?

I'll do that in my SPARE time!!
Camo sure knows this thing, I will have to take little nibbles, since I usually put in 9-10hours at the fun house add 2 hours road time & meals....
I'll do what I can...lol

Good luck Robert! You'll be fine with it. Let me know if you have questions with anything along the way.
Hey I appreciate the vote of confidence & the offer Camo!
I was surprised to see I could install on 2 PCs, so my laptop will be the 1st to take the plunge and as long as there's not a ton of buttons & menus (like Inventor/AutoCAD) I might be able to mess with it OK!
I have NOT saved anything usable yet and was pretty whipped after spending too much time on the shop floor in the heat so I opened it, looked at the card contents using my 998 in the house and was impressed to see even TINY lake outlines near my home! Then I ate dinner & started to zonk out.
Every machine has at least an 8GB card, most have 32GB though I know the NAV data takes up cracker crumbs worth of space, I'll need to get in the mindset of saving before killing off the whole network, but you know I'll want to pick your brain.
I have read snippets here -N- there, and it looks like you have far & away the best knowledge of this software outside of the pro staff & HB whiz bangs.

Yep, just a little change of habit, to get in the routine of remembering to save the boat tracks before shutting off the unit. Now that I know to do it, it's no big deal. Same thing goes for sonar recordings if you're using those. Remember to 'Stop Recording' before turning off the unit.
The computer program takes some getting used to. It may stump you at some point. The tutorials are a good starting point though.
Have fun!

Just read this whole thread and did not see a definitive answer to... on core units, will it overlay autochart on top of lakemaster or navionics? I know Onix will, looking for info on core. Thanks.
Doesn't look like it to me...

Does anyone know of a way to convert Lowrance HDS sonar logs to be used in autochart?

Great thread it has been very informative, but I do have some questions.
First off a little bit about my set up. I have two 899C SI units and the IPilot link all networked together with the 5 port hub. I have one unit on the bow with transducer on my TM. The other 899 has Navionics Platinum and is located at the console with transducer on the stern. Now for the questions.
1. How can I improve my GPS accuracy while using the AutoChart. Or is it already accurate enough?
2. How does the AS EC CHART Ethernet Converter Cable work with my 899 and the AutoChart software. Will this allow me to record sonar tracks just like AutoChartLive?
3. Is the Pro version worth it?
4. Will my network share the AutoChart maps or do I need two ZeroLine cards?
4. Once I have my zero line map card with converted maps, does this card have to remain in my 899 to work or does it load the data into internal storage? If I have both SD cards (Navionics and zeroLine) installed at my console, how will I record if both slots are taken? Can I record on the Zeroline card that has existing maps?
This is a big decision for me. I don't want this to be more work that it is worth but so far I like what I see and hear. Thanks for your help!
I have an Onix 10 SI and purchased the Zero Lines SD card for it. Because there are no detailed maps for my lake, Tims Ford Lke in Middle TN, I had to also purchase the Navionics East Hot Maps Premium. This is the only card which has any kind of bottom topology for this lake and it isn't great. Based on the fact that I need both the Navionics and Zero Lines cards all the time, I now have both SD slots taken up. Because of this, I have no place to put things like Sonar Recordings or Screen Captures. Both of the SD slots are "greyed out" when you go to the menu to select the recording location so I assume that these cards aren't considered valid "landing space" for any unit generated files (yes, I have the SD "lock" in the "up" writable position) Is there a way to put a file or folder on the Zero Lines SD card so that the system will recognize this as a valid card to place data files?
Of course you can put the screen captures on internal memory but the Recordings apparently have to go to an SD card and don't have an internal memory option. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Wayne, thanks for the information. Previously I used a 998cSI and the base maps had what I needed so I haven't had to use add-on maps in the past. I looked at the web site and see what you are talking about. If you look at the Platinum and Premium card lake information it doesn't list Tims Ford as having HD maps. If I lok at the Web App, and click on the little "sonar" icon on the bottom right, it does show the HD. The thing that sucks is that it appears that I can't download Sonar Freshest Data to my Premium card... Only Navigation and Community Edits. That really stinke becuase, if I had of known this, I would have definitely bought the Platinum and not the Premium. I'll reach out to Navionics to see if there is any recourse other than just paying full price for the Platinum card.
Still looking for an answer to having SD storage space for my recordings and screen shots when I have the Navionics and Zero Lines cards taking up both slots.
