    Trim Tab Issue

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement trim tab motor? The right side motor is starting to grind on the way up and it doesn't make it all the way so the flaps are out of balance.
I remember replacing the left one a couple of years ago but do not remember all the details.
I think I have to disconnect the flap from the bar so it hangs straight down and then unscrew the unit from the top so it drops straight out but I do not remember about the wiring connection. Any tips would be appreciated as well.
Thanks in advance for any help.

    Re: Trim Tab Issue (BucketHunter)

trim tab motor and ram should have 2 wires going into the top of the mount where the 3 bolts hold it in the tube. Last one i replaced had a silicone adhesive holding it in after removing the three mounting bolts on the top i had to pull it from the bottom of the boat. but sounds like you got the method of removal down, hopefully someone can get you a deal on a new trim tab motor.

Anyone that sells Lenco trim tabs can get you one. Once in a while they have the correct size for sale on E-bay also. An alternative tab actuator is made by lectrotab.
