BBC lounge topic that will be removed........Falcon Lake.

Posted last night about the goings on down on Falcon. I guess we can all just pretend nothing bad is happening since Americans using the lake for recreation and being machine gunned is a no no for board talk. Fellas, if you are going to Falcon Lake please please do not cross over on to the Mexican side of the lake. Like playing russian roulette. I guess i am just so disappointed that a good portion of the best big bass lake in the country is now not an option at least for me. These drug dealers / pirates are getting bolder and bolder. It appears the Mexican government is losing the battle. Does not bode well for our border towns. Please be careful fellas.

Given we were looking at Falcon for a Spring trip, I am taking my name off the list. Just not the kind of risk I am willing to take these days with kids to raise. I would like to get something going for a Lake Stockton trip in April.

Yes, Stockton Lake Missouri. I know SilverSpook is interested and Flubyu as well. If we can avoid school spring breaks, I bet we get a real good turnout. Spook, Flubyu, my son, and I had an absolute blast 2 weeks ago on Table Rock. They are great people and look forward to seeing all in April !

I would. Advise , if u are going to Falcon.
    1. If u are taking your wife make sure she hasn't just purchased a large insurance policy on you
    2. Take a bigger gun than she has.
This girls story has lots of holes in it

If u have been to falcon. How did the piro boats chase her 50 mph jet ski. Why did they let her go?

The pirates/druggies have little kids with cell phones that report to them on targets and police launching at ramps. I hope Amistad is not next. I have 6 lots on Amistad and the wife is getting worried about safety when we are there. A few Apache gunships would help the Border Patrol.

Stockton sounds like blast it's a little closer than Table Rock (for me) where you guys had it was about 4 1/2 hours away. Stockton is about 2 1/2. Terry is one up on everybody though for fishing Stockton... he had a nice looking sack last time he went there!

I'd be very curious as to why you're saying this topic will be removed from the Lounge and why you're saying it's a "no no for board talk". ???

Al, Our thread was removed late saturday night on the lounge, however it could have been because there were some political comments made. I just assumed it was a negative topic that was removed. Our guys should be very careful on Falcon not to go over to the Mexican side. The middle of the lake is not safe either as they have sometimes crossed over to our side of the lake.

We wouldn't take down a post re Falcon, it must have turned political and went south. I'm amazed that anyone fishes Falcon at all, given that it borders with Mexico.

Agree with you Al. I always fish with my son, and i just can't take the current risk that Falcon presents. Love Falcon and Amistad for that matter, but things need to change down there and become much safer. We are going to exercise caution and are going to be safe and fish other locations. I have replanned my Texas trip from Falcon to Lake Fork for April. I like relaxing on my vacations !!!

theres plenty of American water to fish on Falcon, i dont see why anyone would go to the mexican side anway. theres plenty of guides that still go out DAILY and dont run into any problems. Amistad is the same way, lots of better water on the U.S. side.
