Boat is the gambler in my signature, motor is a 98 evinrude vindicator. Fished an elec. motor only lake in the rain on tuesday for a few hrs. Went to fire up the big motor to load on the trailer and when I turn the key, nothing happens. No click, no crank, nada. It also shorts out anything that runs off my crankining battery.....electronics, gauges, trim, etc. When I turn key back to off, I get power to those accessories. After a few times of turning the key, motor fires up?
Went back out thursday when it was sunny, thoughty maybe something got wet and this was causing a short. Went to fire motor up, same thing. After 6 or 7 tries, she finally cranked.. Check connections at battery, all was snug and tight....Any suggestions on where to start checking??
