    Who is "you" ????

To have Navionics mapping you need a Navionics card.

    Hotmaps Premium regional issues
    Hotmaps Platinum regional issues
Navionics+ already has US and Canada maps
Navionics Update is a discount version of Navionics+ 2GB. That takes a card you already own to activate it.

The UPDATE card has no maps, you activate that with a card you own and it becomes the 2GB version of Navionics+ with no maps--you select and download maps to the card.
If you can find a discontinued version of Navionics+ that is 2GB, that has no maps and you select what locations to download to the card.

Send me the GPS coordinates for that location and I'll see what I can find about it.

that was on Hartwell, but i get the same thing on all lakes. i can switch source to the lowrance map and see where the roadbed is to get near it,just curious as to why it doesn't show the actual roadbed. was really looking forward to fishing those on hartwell.

The Navionics Web App is the current map, you do not have the current map on your card. That is what the Freshest Data Update program is all about.
I just downloaded the current map for Hartwell and the submerged roads are on there as well as the creek/river channel highlighting.
My update that I did a few months ago on my Platinum card did not have those details. I have them now on my Navionics+ card.

I would guess that since Hartwell is a marque lake that the touring pros fish, it was specifically re-surveyed before this years event.

I did not take a screenshot when I had the Hartwell map displayed, but it looks just like this at Kentucky Lake:

You can't turn on the channel highlighting on the Web App. That is the Nature of Seabed chart detail setting.

One more thing, if you did not have Nautical Charts checked when you did the update, you don't have Nautical Charts on your card, just Sonar Charts. Sonar Charts does not have the roads, just the channel highlighting.

Another thing on my units, you have to be zoomed in to the 200' range before the roads are displayed. They disappear at 500' and greater.

Also check to see not only tha,to you downloaded the NauticalChart and SonarChart but make sure you shut off the Fish N Chip button on your Lowrance to view NauticalChart instead of SonarChart.

Dealing with HDS 7 gen 2 w/insight. In regard to range rings and the scale on the bottom right corner. If I set the unit to use the Lowrance mapping with the range rings on the scale in the bottom right corner is visible and works with the zoom function but, If I switch over to the Navionics chip the range rings stay but the scale in the bottom right corner goes away and I have no scale on the chart? Not sure why this happens but if anyone knows why please let us know.

This week I updated my Navionics Hotmaps Platinum South card with Freshest Data and lost colored seabeds. I contacted Navionics and was told to update my HDS Gen2 10 software from v3.0 to 4.0. I did and no change. I contacted Navionics again after I discovered that colored seabeds returned after unchecking Fish N Chip. Their response was that is the way it is. Then why did colored seabeds work for me with Fish N Chip selected in 2013, 2014, and in June of 2015 of Freshest Data? I regret paying the $99 and updating my map. They say I have to "uncheck Fish N Chip when navigating and reselect when fishing. I want both accurate contours and the colored seabeds like before.

I'm thinking about getting the Navionics hot maps platinum. If i'm reading this right. The Sonar Charting program won't work if you have updates higher than whats stated below, from the Navionics website? Or do you just have to save logs in a different format? I'm new to mapping, but have noticed the depth contours on my HDS 7 gen 2 aren't real accurate. I believe I have Insight USA.

Lowrance HDS Gen2 Touch and Lowrance HDS Gen2
Starting from software release 3.5-45.2.143, these units do not provide depth data in the export of sonar logs in GPX format.

Do any of the Navionics maps work with the Lowrance Elite 5 DSI? It has an Micro SD card port but wasn't sure if that was just for updates?

The Navionics cards that work with most brands are microSD with an SD adapter. Its been that way since mid 2010.

The most suitable for your model is the Navionics Hotmaps Premium since it has a smaller capacity card.

You can use the current Navionics+ version (16 GB) but there is so much data on it that the processor can't handle it at on-plane speeds.
You could delete all the data and only load the locations you need to take care of that.

Another option if you already own a map card is the Navionics Update card. You use your present card to activate it so it becomes the 2GB version of Navionics+ with no maps. You choose what locations to download to the card.

Some brands have the CF readers.

Being that the Elite does have a smaller processor as Wayne mentioned, I recommend the Navionics + card but again as mentioned above, purge the card and then download just the lakes you fish or do as I do and download the lakes you need as you need them. This would be the less information your processor has to crunch and will make you faster as a whole. Plus, the Navinics + or Updates are the best two mapping options in the first place.

With the purchase of the Navionics + or Navionics Updates cards, you get customizable features not available with any other card. No more preloaded regional data of cards holding 95% of data you're paying for but never utilize.

With Navionics, you can download only what you want and need. You want a region, download it. Individual lakes or even part of lakes, the choice is all you.

I fish all across the country, and only need one card! Check it out!
