If you use Humminbird PC this is how to export them in gpx format. The Onix uses gpx and before it would automatically change the format at import I made this video for another board member.

I'm running 10.7.5 on my mac. its the most up to date format available. when i go to download homeport, it says to you 10.8 or great? wth??
they were already gpx. all you did was save them to a different location than default
you dont even need to save them. they are auto saved in the c\users\your user name\my documents\my_humminbirdpc\gpx_files
you also dont wont to save like that. if your using humminbird pc you should upload to the card using the arrows on the left attached to the card. If you want to save the file for backup or to import into something else, you should also remove the copy from the file name, which you didnt do. Don't save it to the card, save it to the desktop, import into homeport by selecting file and import into then right click on the user data and choose send to. this puts the proper folder structure on your card, not just the file

If thats the case your best option is to do what fishfood has posted. As for Homeport that unfortunate. Your only option is to somehow upgrade your Mac operating system.
