There are 3 threaded holes in the flywheel, you will need a lifting eye or a harmonic balancer puller.
And the bolts are 5/16"X24X 3" with big washers to cover the slots. CM![]()
I hate to take the motor off..that thing ain't light, but I have to fix my transon where the cap meets the hull..cause I have water coming in. I'd like to find someone to give a few pointers on fixing that.

what is your opinion on the lifting rings that simply screw onto the flywheel. At least as far as pulling the powerhead
Don't think that is an option on the johnny's is it? At least not with the flywheel on.........
Bob's machine Shop sells the lifting eye brackets. http://www.bobshop.com
We use a lifting ring made by Bomb....Part number 396748 @ $90.42, it bolts to the top of the flywheel.
I use one made by me 1.25...lol!
Use It all the time have yet to mess one up yet used them on 200, 225, 250's no problem. Need a chain for the FS/truders. CM![]()
BTW I have a pdf file that shows a complete transom repair with a product called transom saver if you want to look at it. All I have to do is find it. CM![]()
