What oil to run in a 1991 VRO Johnson 175?

Hey guys, I'm watching the snow fall up here in Ohio and waiting for the first time I can get the rig out. I'm fishing out of a new (to Me) rig. My Stratos has a Johnson Fastrike 175 with the VRO system. My question to you experts is this. The last oil used was XD25. Should I move up to XD30 or XD50? I want all your answers. Some of you might tell me to use Amsoil or Pennnzoil. I want to know all of your opinions. I'm leaning toward staying with the OMC oil.

The xd-50 would get my vote, it's a semisynthetic with carbX in it to help keep the engine clean. Decarb once a year or every 100 hours!! Good motors!!

Xd-50 is for you. Run your boat for 3 full tanks with Sea-Foam and then use OMC engine tuner you will think you have a brand new motor.
