    Johnson Fastrike

I was playing with a couple of props this weekend on my 94 FS 150 (J150GLERV). I happen to notice something while changing props. On the torque tab there is a notch and inlet looking area. I have heard mention of some OMC engines having a water inlet that in turns cools the prop hub. Is that what this is? Also this tab is not straight is is made with a slight curve. sort of like "(" if looking up at it. It is not mounted center but one or two notches to the right if looking up, like this"/". I have hydraulic steering and have no real torque steer. Is this mounted correctly?

Yes and yes Keith I adjust the tab just slightly to the right looking at it from the prop side.

Thanks Fred. Since all is well I will leave it alone. My old 85 GT150 didn't even have a torque tab. It just had a flat plate.
