I thought all 201s came with hydraulic steering, but apparently not if you have cables.
If you currently have cable steering, it will probably be the Teleflex Rack & Pinion system, of which the rack and pinion is behind the dash (rear), so you will need a rear mount helm. If you have the tilt wheel system, the tilt mechanism on the Rack & Pinion system is the same one they send you with the hydraulic system, so I think you can save a little $ by just ordering the rear mount helm system without the extra tilt unit.

I found that out when I ordered the full SeaStar Pro Hydraulic system with the tilt for my Coral, and the tilt part was exactly what was already on the boat, so I wasted about $200, IIRC

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong on any of this, its been awhile since I did mine.

Figuring out what length of hoses to buy is easy. Take a tape measure and on top of the console, measure from the center of the steering wheel straight out to the side of the boat (Gunnel). Then measure from that point down the side of the boat to the stern (transom) Then measure over to port side of the engine, allowing for jackplate set back. Try to just basically measure the path of the existing cables. Add those 3 distances up and maybe add a foot or so, depending on how exact you think you measured the path the hoses will take. Better to order slightly longer hoses than to come up short.

Also, your current cables may have the length stamped on them if you can still read it. Or if you have time, you can pull the current cables and measure them before ordering the hydraulic system. Just remember the hydrualic hoses have to run all the way over to the port side of the motor and bend around to hook up to the cylinder.
