Welcome to the Cobra Board afireman alway glad to hear from fellow Cobra owners. I went out and measured mine and it is 42" which should be a good length for the 201D. That is what I have and it works great.
The 201 Cobra needs to have a 45" shaft on a Motorguide. That is what originally came with the boat. I have several trolling motors and tried a 42" model...found that it wasn't long enough to stay in the water on windy days.
