Nice! Is that going on the bow or console? I have a 797 on the bow but want a 798, those preset buttons are nice.

Mike it is going on a ram mount off of the console, I am going to transfer my
Lowance X135 to the bow. Next spring buy a 788 DI for the bow.

Gunnar gave me his block off plate and thats going over the console cut out.

I found one of those on my doorstep a few weeks back, Still don't have it installed. First tourney is a week from Sunday, doubt I will have it in by then.
I assume you are doing the 2d ducer thru the hull and the si ducer on the jackplate. That is my plan.

You are 100% correct.

And I may buy a 898 next spring and just mount it where the 798 is, and connect the existing cables. Move the 798 up front.

If I fall in love with side scan thats my plan, If not: a 788 DI will be @ the bow.

PS: Fish in IL NOT, WI kicks IL's AZZ and I am a IL transplant from WI. Not a flatlander by choice but out of need: JOBS, Pay ect....

I'm sure you will love it Butch I have had a 997 for 2 years and I love it takes a little pratice and time on the water to get settings right. best thing is to go to places you know that have rocks, brush just so you will know what it will look like on screen.

I have had some of my best, and only, Musky days while Bass fishing. They tend to like the same habitat.
