Glove box troubles

I need some help from the experts please! I am slowly replacing things on my 1997 180 something Champion. One item I want to replace is the old glove box. Either the whole thing or just the door. I have been trying to find an exact replacement for the one I have currently and I'm beginning to think maybe it isn't the original glove box. I found an ad for the one I have in an old JC Whitney catalog which I thought was strange. It is black, opens from the top, is rectangle, and has to fold down cup holders on the front that open up when the door is closed. Can anyone tell me if this is the original glove box and if it isn't, what should the original one look like. Maybe someone can take a picture of theirs for me. And if it is the original, does anyone know where I might be able to find one or even a decent replacement that is not exactly the same? The aftermarket Atwood ones look cheap but maybe I'm wrong. I spoke to C&O Marine and they are checking on the ones that say Champion on them and have rounded corners at the top. I hope one of these will fit but I'm not sure yet.

I belive the box id from R&R design. Call them ...I bet they made them originally

I spoke to Robert at R&R and he said the one I have is not original but he doesn't know what one would have been original. Does anyone know what might have have come on my 1997 era Champ?

Also C&O Marine have some of this old boxes, call Carol and ask her...

Thanks Jordi, I spoke to her and she has a couple, my only problem now is figuring out what should be in my boat since the original is not there.

Again, if anyone has a boat from approximately the same year, can you tell me what your glove box looks like? Is it completely rectangle or is the one with the rounded upper corners?

here is my glove box I know for sure C&O marine have this model cuz I was thinking buy a new one, at the end I restore mine.

I owned a 98 181 and it had rounded corners . Yours looks like my old 89, 201 glove box.

Go to C&O marine and click glove boxes on the side menu. Its box #12. Thats what you need to be original. Hope this helps.

One more question, those of you with the rounded corners glove boxes, is the actual box inside also round or is it square?

Its square and real shallow on my old 181. My 196 is huge and I lose things its so big.
