03 champ 203, my trim will stop working every now and then on all 4 switches, then decide to start working a few minutes later. any ideas? its only happened about 3 times, the last time it happened, i just revved the motor in neutral real quick and it started working again. any help is appreciated!
Could possibly be the relays ???

Probably the relays. There are 2 of them, one for up and one for down. I just replaced mine, they were $14 each and easy to replace.
does anyone know where those relays are on this boat? i'm kinda slow when it comes to electrical stuff. could it be a loose ground?
Would help to know the motor you are running.. I would suspect that the throttle trim harness has started to wear though and is shorting out..

do you have a trim switch up by your trolling motor .....my trim just kept going up a few trips ago till the motor went all the way up i shut her down only to hear the trim still whining after screwing with it for a while to my embarassment my trolling motor cable was pushing down on the trim switch
I had the same problem on my 96 181 and the wire inside the trottle was grounding. I bought a kit from dealer and solved it for good.

08 250 should still be under warranty right?
Read on the merc board that they are having issues with the trim/tilt on the 250 ProXS. Something about the brushes sticking, may not be what you're experiencing though. But, still should be under warranty. Some guys are having to wait a long time for the replacement part.

Mines 2.5 years old only problem I had was a neutral safety switch about a year ago!
