    2007 Champion 200 Elite

Found this boat w/ a Yammie 225 and am going to go look at it this weekend and possibly trade my 03 R boat in on it. My question is, what kind of warranty does champion have on the boat and hull itself, is it transferrable? The yamaha HPDI has a year of warranty left and the option to extend it. Got the rock bottom price on it and if it doesnt have a big chunk knocked out of it somwhere, she may be coming home with me.

Yes warranty is transferrable on the Champion Hull...I would definetly extend the warranty on the Yamaha through YOUR dealer close to you.

$1500 is alot less than $15,000 if she blows!!!!
That is a little steep for one year though.

Just make sure it's not an early 07 200 model with the hook in the hull.

Sorry Champ fans (I am one myself) but they early ones do have it!

Not a bad thing, just plan on going about 3-5 mph slower than ya should

As far as I know any boats with the deeper hook have been corrected.

There's gotta be some out there that have not been corrected, mainly because the owner doesn't know of it, or doesn't mind it.
I found one last fall, while looking for a Champ.

I don't know how to explain in technical terms exactly what it is, but it is not a bad thing. Most bass boats have a slight hook which helps make the boat more stable at high speeds, but some folks with the earliest 200s, complained that it made the boat slower.

In the very earliest 07 200s, the hook was a tad more pronounced than in the later boats, and they were either returned to factory, or sent to knowledgable glass folks who reduced that hook. I ran one of the very first 200s at the dealer meeting the summer it came out...I had zero complaints about the performance.

I am going to suggest you speak with the factory Customer service folks regarding warranty. They can tell you exactly what is covered and for how long....

And it was taken care of, as Dennis can attest to...

Someone else also posted that it is not a bad thing... So, no, I am not crazy... How about a little respect for Mom!!!

I'd call C&O Marine for an extended warranty price on the Yamaha - and I'm talking about Yamaha's Y.E.S. program. The quote you got looked really high.
