    my properly setup 2004 196 haulin the mail!

    water was smooth as glass that night..here ya go croxtonized 26 1/2 m2 and blueprinted with cup added.

    That's a good pic. Them 3.1 litre motors really make them hulls come alive! Brad's boat sits out like that too!

    Wow,
    Nice colors but why is that big old trolling motor mounted on the starboard side obstructing your view? That boat is made to run with a 225 motor but had to stay in the 200 rating that is why they came out with the 198 to make it run. The hull needs that extra 25 to get it up and the 3+ liter motor make it lift. I'd guess he's running 65-68 from the pix.

    i like my 101 on that side. (trolling motor) hehe my setup is 3 inches below pad 25m2 yamaha prop customized to a 26 1/2 with alot of cup added. im over 70 on the speed.. light and loaded.

    speed numbers on here dont mean a whole lot to me and shouldnt mean anything to you either. i pass people on the water every weekend,, and the same people say there boat does 80.5 gps . and i pass them in the lower 70's. their gps must be off heehehe. but anyway its a really fast 196 .. that model is a lead sled but i think i got her woke up. it rides really awesome too.

    I passed alot of 70 MPH boats in my 68 MPH 196! Ah hell I'll just round her up to 70 GPS.
