Hey all,

I have a 1997 Champion. My original riostats are pretty much shot and I decided to replace them. They no longer make the original cylinder looking controls, we now get a computer circuit board looking control.

Here's my dilemma:

On the main control panel just below the throttle where the controls are, you have all of your controls (i.e. toggle switches and 2 riostats). In between each control is a white resettable circuit breaker. The new riostat (circuit board) does not fit in between the circuit breakers!

So I redid one of the riostats, kind of just "wedged" it in there so I could get through my recent tournament. Well, I thought everything was working fine but it soon started constantly tripping the main power circuit breaker and things stopped working. I'm not sure if this was caused by the circuit board touching the breaker or what but it ended up killing two fish because I thought the hydro-air was running and it wasn't.

By the way, yes, it was my responsibility to check more often on the fish than I did and there's no excuse for that part.

Now, I'd like to know if anyone else has encountered this or if you have replaced your riostats in a similar year setup.

Thanks in advance and I'll answer any questions as best as I can.
