THe older boats that were made in Mt. Home had the rear gas tanks. Your 193 will have the tank in the back of the boat rather than under the seats. THe ones with the fuel in the back seem to run a little faster, but sit higher at rest..
By myself if I empty my livewells, and most gear I get tops 72 (GPS). Thats with a worked 25 temptest plus. I can hit 66-68 with all gear full livewells, full gas tank. I don't normally run at WOT, so it's been a while since I've opened it up.

Hi, I have a 2001 193 with a 200 Johnson on it. It was that last year that johnson made the 200. I want to get a new boat in the next 2 years. I run about 67.8 with full gear, fuel and 2 guys. The speedo says 75 though. It is not really accurate. I want to know what my boat should do with just me in it and a 1/4 tank of gas? I thought that the 193 ran about 75. Are I just as fast as the rest of the champions out there?

Welcome to the BBC and the Champion forum. I hope you will join us at the Owner's Appreciation Tourney on Mead in Sept!!!! We had a blast last year!
Do you have a GPS? That will give you an accurate speed and the guys on here will have a better idea of how you need to set up...75 sounds a tad optimistic.....![]()
Thank you. i would like to go in Sept but I have a baby boy on the way. So if I am runnin 66-68 GPS I should be running with the reat of the gang. I pass Rangers all the time and they have 225 Optis on them. How fast do you run?
Greg G
Sounds like you are dialed in right! My 198/225 can do 72 with a better driver than I am...Before the gas prices went to the outrageous, I usually ran about 65-68. I now cruise at 40...

Which model Champion are you looking at for your next one?![]()
dont know. I think I would like to get a 210. But the prices are outrageous. Maybe a 203 or 206. I will buy the next one cash. So you run 66-68 GPS now? That is all that I got out of mine loaded. The speedo was 75 plus...
how do you get that picture and champion logo on the post? I like that and trying to figure out how to do it? Then I can post some pictures of my boat on here..
