Curious of Engine Hours on a DI?

I know a lot of variables play into this, but I am curious as to how many engine hours you guys are seeing on these engines? I'm a little new to this arena and have no idea what 'typical' engine hour life may be on an engine that is maintained well and running good oil. I'd say that anyone that has a high horse power engine is more than likely going to be running it fairly hard. Is 500hrs plus normal for an engine? I just threw that number out there - I'm currently at about 175 hours on a 2004 200HO.

I had an 2003 DI with over 500 hours but the customer sold it out of state so I have not seen it since

900 hours on a pair of 2007 175 ETECs I'm currently running
702 hours on a 2005 250 ETEC before that
550 hours on a 2004 Rude DI 250 before that
530 hours on a 2003 Rude DI 250 before that

All still running strong for the new owners.

The highest hour DI engine I've seen is a 2000 115 FICHT with over 3000 hours on it. Many of the commercial fisherman have over 2000 hours on theirs.

What apps do you think lend themselves to highest hours? In show skiing we rarely ever use WOT for anything longer than 30 seconds and we never seem to have powerhead issues. We shift alot and have had a few gearcase issues after years of use but we put 750 hours on per year when you combine all of our engines and we don't ever see any issues.
