Lea: sorry I didnt see your question until today. I tow the 202 with a 2004 Nissan Murano. 245 HP V6 (just slightly more than the Evinrude 225 hanging off the back of the Champ). The Murano has a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) that doesnt have gears, so no hunting, no downshifting. Just smooth (though admitedly not the fastest) acceleration. Truth is that I run up and down I-95 at 65-75 MPH just fiine. Not too many hills though I do get up into the Poconos occasionally. The "big truck" guys would all make fun, but it works fine for me, never have gotten stuck or even slipped on a ramp (has AWD that I've never used) and my wife loves the Murano. Its her vehicle except when the Champ is hanging on the back. Time will tell if the Murano is up to the job, but the first 20K miles have been fine; probably 20% -25% of those miles have been towing. Two round trips to Waldorf MD in just one weekend (800 miles)....long, long story.... along with lots of trips to top of the Chesapeake. Brakes on trailer, 18" wheels on Murano.
