    Drain plug

On a 98 180: I have a white drain plug that screws out and doesn't stay attached to the boat. I got a black T&H replacment plug with the plastic piece attached to put in it, but its a different thread. Can I get another plug that doesn't come unattached from the boat. I think I can replace the female part in the boat that matches the T&H but I don't think it goes all the way through the transom like the white one in my boat now. Does anyone have any info that will help me.

    Re: Drain plug (BEEZER)

Jeff, mine has the black one like your talking about and I had to replace the whole assembly....I dont remember exactly how yours is made, I didnt look at it close last time. I cant imagine why the T&H replacement wouldnt work.
