    Re: Thunder Hawk boats (Jeepguy)

I have no idea if a thunder hawk is the same thing as a hawk, but i have a buddy who has a 20 foot hawk with a 200 merc on the back and its a extremely solid platform, great ride, and will get after it! I was really impressed with it. Again, they may be two completely different boats and if they are disregard post

I owned a Thunderhawk 1400 (14 footer) back in the summer of 68 & 69....First year it had a new 1968 Evinrude 40 hp Big Twin, went about 30 mph,,,
The next summer I was able to buy a 1969 60hp looper Evinrude...Top speed with a stock prop was 40-45....

She was a neat little tri hull, perfect to lean how to boat iv....These boats were made down south in Georgia...Last i heard the company closed its doors in 1976...about 6 to 9 models were made startin with a 14ft O/B boat to 18 foot I/o's.....Theres one on fiberclassics....why do u ask? Do you have knowledge of one for sale? Thanks, Tom Arambasich....find me on facebook or Switzercraft Reunion Regattas also on facebook....Thanks.

thunder hawk boats used to be made in Nashville, GA.. They are out of business. There is another boat manufacture making boats under this name in Clanton, AL. They just started using the thunder hawk name about 2-3 years ago. It is the same people and facility that used to make Legend boats. Not to be confused with these guys. Legend Boats not the same company. I'm not sure about any other details than that.
