    Any dog breed experts here?

I just made a post about the rescue dog we just adopted. We really don't know what he is. We guessed maybe a little shepherd and lab was in there. Someone suggested a red heeler. If you could, take a look at these pictures and give me your opinion as to what he is. Thanks for your help

if you really want to know, and it doesn't cost too much, you can actually do a DNA test on dogs now ... http://www.canineheritage.com/

A little hard to say with pics, but if I had to guess the hodge podge, I'd say hes a quarter each of shepherd, collie, lab, and beagle.
    Best of luck with him!

He's colored up like a shepard and his face looks a little like a labs. You may have the breeds you mentioned. Pretty dog.

It is hard to say with shelter dogs what kind of mixtures some of them are...but regardless of his breeds, he is a happy and grateful dog because of you and your wife...there's a sense of gratitude you get from a shelter dog almost as if they understand shat you did sometimes. As for Grover's breed, the rescue dogs dogs I have are always explained to people as a mutt that looks like a lab, or a mutt that looks like doberman. I'd say what you have a a 100% mutt who is as happy as can be...

He looks to be to 1/3 Cute dog...1/3 frendly little cuss...and 1/3 Cuddle hound but I cannot say for sure.

the DNA tests are pretty affordable.
We had one done for our Moose...he came out 1/3 dumba$$ and 2/3 lazy dog.

All I know about breeding a dog is what you were saying about the first step you take before trying

As far as the breed of your new dog he looks Heinz 57 to me, I'm thinking he's got a lot of mixing. Just my $.02

I would guess some shepherd, but no clue about anything else. Looks just like one a friend had, but we did not know what else he had either. Sweet face!!!!!
