    Syracuse Refs

Anybody just watch that mess. Refs just took any chance UNCA had of winning with 3 horrible calls in the second half. 2 in the last 2 minutes. Just horrible officiating.

Yes I agree...they just screwed the little guys out of a very good chance to beat the number one team....

Your right. They could not have come at a worse time. Thought I was going to see history made with a win by a 16 seed

They ought to castrate them on the foul line.

    Re: Syracuse Refs (Altro Cat)

I will 100% agree that was some of the worst officiating I have seen in a tourney game in some time. UNCA could not get any calls on the offensive end.
At the same time, the Big South player of the year can not go 1-13 from the field. If he has an average game, UNCA wins that game handily.

Pathetic the officials took two plays away from them and took two points away by not calling the obvious goal tend.

After watching the replays, the official got the lane violation correctly called, but the goaltend and the ball out of bounds were just a plain miss.

I agree, Your top dog cannot have a bad game at this level. However the refs cannot be making bad calls at this level either.

The calls went bad for both sides, at the end of the first half syracuse should have gotten two foul shots because the foul occurred before the shot clock violation and they were even able to look at it on replay, and at the end of game the ball was def. off syracuse but he was clearly was fouled 1st.

    Re: Syracuse Refs (basscuse)

Well it turns out the lane violation was the correct call per the rule book but honestly in all my years of watching basketball I have never seen that called and have seen it happen countless times.

There are entire youtube clips of players doing that and dunking the ball.

I'd pay to see them get that - their due!
